Use Quiz Time as short practice

Quiz Time is designed for quick review rather than formal testing. Children can answer a small set of questions, get immediate feedback and try again without creating an account. Parents can choose a topic that matches the child’s age and stop after a short round.

Make the quiz more useful

Before tapping an answer, ask the child to explain their choice. When an answer is wrong, return to the idea instead of focusing on the score. For younger learners, read the question aloud and reduce distractions around the screen.

Use quiz questions as conversation starters

A quiz can check recall, but it can also reveal what a child is thinking. After a few questions, choose one answer and ask the child to explain it in their own words. If they are unsure, use the question as a reason to look something up together rather than treating the score as a judgement.

Keep scores in perspective

Performance can change with reading load, attention, familiarity and the device itself. A quiz score is only a result from that short session. It is not a formal assessment of the child.

Mix topics

Use quizzes alongside stories, science pages, maths practice and creative activities. A broad session can keep curiosity high while still giving the child a chance to revisit facts.
